Has anyone used some of the AR style 22 rifles for any high round count training yet? If so how did they do and what brand?

PostSubject: Smith&Wesson M&P 15-22   Thu Jan 21, 2010 12:38 am

I purchased a S&W M&P 15-22 the other week to see what it is all about. I bought it from Jan 1 from Botach Defense. It was shiped to a local dealer. I picked it up and took it shooting of course the day I went it was raining. Hey if your gona test a rifle out why not in the rain? Right out of the box the iron sights were right on the money. I tested it without doing anything but taking it out of the box and proceded to run about 300 rounds thru it. I was very inpressed with it and it is a blast to shoot. I had a couple miss feeds but found the ammo to actually be bent from the box of Winchesters I was shooting from. Other than that the rifle performed flawless all day. I am very happy to have a rifle I can train with and only have the price of a 1000 rounds of 223 invested in it. The 22 ammo bought at Academy Sports 525rounds for 18.00. This will be a good inexpensive training gun and save my 223 stuff for when it really counts. I give it 2 thumbs up cheers
